Rapid prototyping aims to provide rapid design, validation and testing methods for physical prototypes. The paper designed rapid prototyping simulation system based on RTX real-time kernel and VPM (Virtual Prototyping and Modeling) development tools, and discussed the system's operation environment, system architecture, system components and major functions. Through combination of VPM modeling and simulation software and RTX real-time kernel, the system is able to implement hardware in loop simulation flexibly. Furthermore, algorithms designing, evaluating and its performance testing with physical devices in loop can be achieved.
