Advanced driver assistance systems such as Forward Collision Warning or Lane Departure Warning on automobiles rely heavily on the use of a vision-based system. A monocular camera is one of the latest automotive driver assist (ADAS) devices to deliver these functions. This camera module has active electronic and optical devices that need to be thermally managed in various surrounding ambient conditions. The local ambient conditions of the camera can vary from -40C initial condition when the vehicle is in the parking mode on a cold day to an 80C initial condition when the vehicle is in the parking mode a hot day.
