The production of digital games is a challenging activity, especially for the involvement of a multidisciplinary team. It becomes complex because of the wide variety of styles and genres of games, the need to define specific technical and pedagogical requirements, as well as to ensure fun and learning. This article presents a survey to investigate, analyze and better understand how digital educational games are produced, with the purpose of characterizing the "state of practice" in the educational context.
