THE VALORIFICATION OF STUDENTS COMPETENCES LEARNED IN NONFORMAL AND INFORMAL ENVIRONMENT

In a knowledge society, where education continually redefines its meanings, the need to assess and recognize the learner's competences is a complex task, given the diversity of competency formation paths, and taking into account the skills acquired in non-formal and informal environments. A large number of countries and organizations are busy defining a formal framework for validating the non-formal and informal learning experiences and their certification. The specialty studies highlight the benefits offered by the non-formal education, which does not necessitates the participation of students and whose activities take place outside of school; the informal environment also brings varied learning opportunities to learners' skills and is fully adapted to the needs and interests of learners throughout their lifelong learning. The study is based on a brief analysis of school curricula for primary education, highlighting the relevant presence of non-formal and informal elements in the curriculum: through specialized sites - Animal Planet, Discovery, National Geographic; informal communication elements specific to social networks; extracurricular activities - meetings with cultural personalities, visits and thematic excursions, etc. The conclusions of the study are a possible framework for capitalizing the competences acquired by the students in the non-formal and informal environment in a formal/school context.
