A System to Restrict Regions of Image Processing by Laser Range Scanners

Faster image processing such as object detections or tracking is useful for various applications. We can reduce image processing time by restricting target regions of image processing. However, it is difficult to restrict regions since the information about images is just image data in many cases. Hence, we proposed a system to restrict regions by using laser range scanners (LRS). Our proposed system restricts regions of image processing to the regions in that new objects are found by LRS. In the paper, we investigate the performance of restricting regions.
