Monolithically integrated transceivers on InP: the development of a generic integration concept and its technological challenges

摘要

A versatile and extendable integration process suitable for future economic fabrication of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) is described. The advantages and technological challenges are emphazised as well as the experiences and results on the fabrication of first precursor and transceiver PICs are reported.
