Both topography and surface chemistry affected stem cell alignment, migration, and differentiation. Surface topography mainly guided cells migration and morphology, while surface chemistry mainly affected cell differentiation. This study provides the fundamental information for the biomaterials and tissue engineered scaffolds design.
