Histidine Conjugated Poly(amino acid) Derivatives as the Novel Intracellular Delivery Carrier ofan Anticancer Drug

Histidine as an endosomolytic agent wassuccessfully conjugated to poly(amino acid) derivativesand doxorubicin(DOX) was physically loaded. Histidineconjugation improved the cytosolic localization andcytotoxicity of DOX by the fast release at low pH due toaggregate swelling and the endosomolytic ability, followedby the easy nuclear access of DOX.
