The present study was undertaken to elucidate the organ- and/or site-selective delivery of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) to the kidney following the application to the kidney surface in rats. This novel organ- and/or site-selective drug delivery system is expected to be safe and effective treatment for the renal cell carcinoma, which localized in the part of kidney.
