This study examined performance and perception of students in a graduate Information Systems class. One group had the course delivered to them in a traditional face-to-face (FTF) method while the other group had the same course delivered on-line. Demographic differences were examined to determine if any differences existed which could influence one course format over another. Results indicated that while there were no significant differences in learning as perceived by the students, differences were found in their actual performance. In addition some differences in attitudes on changing roles due to the technology were found between the on-line and FTF students.
