A comparison between sample Group Ⅸ (60 mesh mica) and sample Group Ⅶ (200 mesh mica) revealed that it was harder to color the finer size particles contained in Group Ⅶ. This supports the initial hypothesis that it is harder to color a sample containing a filler of a finer grade as opposed to one with a coarser grade. Both samples had less blue in them than the Master sample, which makes sense because the Master sample was unfilled. Therefore, the initial hypothesis was proved to be correct. It is slight more difficult to color a material containing a filler of a finer grade as opposed to one containing a coarser grade of the same filler.
