Advanced education systematics RDTE with the US Bureau of Indian Affairs

A qualitative overview is presented for certain education systems RDT&E work conducted over a five year period with the BIA. The research specifics were derived from the service needs of individual Sandia National Laboratories technical staff members assigned as Science Advisors to remote BIA schools. Over time, these RDT&E results grew to the point where they included contributions to the delivery and assessment means of most of those features now being recommended, e.g. the many systemic initiatives, the Goals 2000 Act and the Improving America's Schools Act, for improved national education. Our collected methods and their classroom results appear to be significant candidate products for improving both the sufficiency and the efficiency of education delivery and certification. As the products were most rapidly and efficiently developed in the teamed environment of the BIA system, the BIA is recommended for the continued development of national education using these methods.
