There's no doubt that companies of all types and sizes, particularly in manufacturing sectors, are trying their best to survive the competition of the market. Thus many advanced technologies and tools are being applied, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and BPR (Business Process Reengineering) so as to strengthen the competitive advantage. This paper suggests that enterprises applying ERP should reengineer its business process in order to succeed. The ERP, however, cannot get the expected target without the success of BPR. The reasons have been analyzed in lots of studies. The paper explores that human resource is the major attributes in applying ERP and BPR that can help enterprise reconsider its human resource in applying ERP and BPR to ensure the success of the company.
