According to the report of the World Health Organization in 2001, people suffering from the depression are so much that it has been the fourth-largest-number disease in the world by now, and have likelihood to be the second-largest-number one by 2020, only next to the heart disease. Great economic loss is caused by Depression. It is estimated that the medical burden on the Depression have added up to some $ 60 billions throughout the worldwide. In the U.S.A, there are 11 millions Depression diagnosed patients every year that lead to the economic loss of $43.7 billions annually. Known form an co-investigation report by World Health Organization, World bank and Harvard university, the Chinese medical load on Depression has been the second by rank. Taking the Depression Symptoms as the index sign, this article was to conduct an in-depth study of mental health for occupational populations and its influential factors, by selecting the workers in three Chinese areas of Peking, Henan and Hebei Province.
