Research and Improvement of Current Hysteresis Control Strategy for Boost DC-DC Converter

Aiming to shorten the transient recovery time of Boost DC-DC converter, a novel design of transient control strategy is proposed based on the current hysteresis control strategy. According to the jump of the output load, it can be judged whether the output current is suddenly increasing or dropping. If the load current suddenly increases, the current surge transient control strategy is started. If the load current suddenly drops, the current dip transient control strategy is started. If no sudden change occurs, the current hysteresis steady state control strategy is followed. Under appropriate parameter settings, the simulation results show that the designed transient control strategy can maintain the output voltage fluctuation amplitude and effectively shorten the transient recovery process under the condition of load jump, improve the stability of the output voltage.
