In this paper, the multiple triggering effect of the conventional DTSCR is explained minutely. To alleviate the multiple triggering effect, two novel diode-triggered SCRs with low trigger current (LTC-DTSCR) structures are proposed, which have lower trigger current by employing the branch current from parasitic SCR to assist the main SCR's conduction. TCAD simulations indicate that the proposed LTC-DTSCRs possess a lower trigger voltage as well as a lower trigger current, which can depress the multiple triggering effect efficiently.
