The construction vehicles have been becoming larger, evensuper large scale with the development of modernconstruction projects. However, most construction vehiclestravel on 'off-road', serious vibration and impact will beoccurred with their work, and the case will be worse with theincrement of the vehicle forms and working loads. Under thesituation of the environmental protection laws and regulationsbeing strict day by day now, how to resolve the problems ofserious vibration and impact in construction vehicles, the poordriving comfortableness and the noise pollution occurring inthe vehicles, have become a new urgent task, which affectsthe development of the heavy duty construction vehicles.Integrating with the National Key Technologies R&DProgram -- Research and Development of Over 400Horsepower Level Environmental Protection CrawlerBulldozer, according to the bulldozers' structural features andthe machine working conditions, a vibration damping systemmodel has been established, and the model parametercharacteristics have been analysed. The reasonable designparameters for the viscoelastic suspensions have beenobtained, a new type of small 'K' shape viscoelasticsuspension has been developed and the core technology inresearch and development for the mechanism has been grasped.
