摘要

Based on the face-gear generation process, the analyticalgeometry of face-gear drive with its mathematical model fortooth contact analysis of face-gear and spur pinion meshingwas derived. In this paper, contact path and transmission errordue to assembly misalignment were analyzed by using theproposed mathematical model and the tooth contact analysis.The effect of assembly error along the axis of face-gear,misalignment of crossed and angular displacement betweenaxes of spur pinion and face-gear were all investigated. Theresults are illustrated by several examples.
