Abstract: This paper presents the classification of fuzzy dynamicsystems and fuzzy linguistic controllers (FLC) intostandard types (TYPE 1 through TYPE 7). The need,utility value, and the logic behind this classificationare given. The proposed classification is the result ofstudying many known examples of FLC applications. Theimpact of this classification to new designs and to theimproved performance of classical and modern controlsystems is an important consideration.!21
