For several thousand years the sport of bowling has been played. The sport of bowling combines various physical abilities, techniques and intelligence. As long as the posture is accurate, 200 different muscles all over the body will be exercised. Leisure and amusement are achieved through bowling, as well as providing excitement to players around the world. Today, Bowling has becoming very popular in Taiwan. Large impacts occur on hand muscles when throwing bowling balls. The hand muscles and wrist actions will affect performance, and cause fatigue of muscles, even cause injuries. In this paper the effects of bowling ball weights and throwing methods on the wrist were studied. By measuring fatigue in terms of EMG the different levels in fatigue are established. From this research, the injury caused by incorrectly throwing bowling balls can be found. By suggesting improvement methods and applying statistical methods, the differences in performance with our hand muscles can be found. After knowing the relationships between performances and different muscle loads, recommendations of necessary improvement will be represented.
