Intermodal Center Reorganization for Improving Logistics Networks

摘要

In this analysis, the authors illustrate the application of a new system of indicators developed to highlight the development margins of a handling equipment configuration within an intermodal structure. The indicators generated by this new methodology were compared with the results of a static model created especially to evaluate different solutions aimed at optimizing load unit handling operations within a muhimodal facility. The solutions are compared initially on the basis of real flows and then considering the evolution of the products handled.
