Cooperative system of MPEG-4 system and DVB-data carousel system

摘要

In MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)-4 system, each of objects can be managed independently by object-based coding. Object is composed of ES(Elementary Stream) and transmitted through DMIF(Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework) layer. DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting)-Data Carousel can improve reliability, usability and compatibility by cyclic retransmission. This paper describes a cooperative system of MPEG-4 system and DVB-data carousel system with using descriptors. With this cooperative system, MPEG-4 clients can receive the data of DVB-data carousel and this vest more flexibility in representation of information in MPEG-4 system.
