Problems in Active Network using Declarative Language, and their Solutions

摘要

An active network is a network architecture which enable network users to up-load their programs to network nodes. We have so far proposed an active network architecture "STAR (Software archiTecture for Active network using Rule based language)" where a declarative language is used instead of a procedural language. This paper describes two problems involved in STAR and proposes solutions for these problems. First problem is decreasing in capability of the system as the number of up-loaded programs (service programs) increases. Second is resolving feature interactions.
