Pipeline structural theory has not kept pace with the development of trenchless constructionrntechniques, renovation techniques, and inspection techniques. In addition, the hydraulicrnassessment of existing pipelines is commonplace, but the same cannot be said for the structuralrnassessment of existing pipelines. This paper aims to redress this balance.
