DEVELOPMENT A NEW CONCEPT IS CALLED KNOWLEDGE BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE (KBS)

Execution of a project requires all the tasks and activities to be embedded in order to assist the planner in project implementation. For a large project to be properly planned and executed, it must be compartmentalized into small segments in a structural manner. The planning and execution of these segments is then assigned to specific organizational units. This approach, called the work-breakdown structure (WBS) (Globerson, 1994).rnResource allocation relates directly to the topic of scheduling because altering schedules can alter the need for resources and alter the timing of resources needs. The scheduling is typically based on the previously determined work breakdown structure (WBS) (Meredith and Mantel, 2003), distribution the resources on work breakdown structure will appear another structure called resource breakdown structure (RBS).rnDetermination of a budget requires resources allocating over schedule of a project; cost estimator assigns expenditures of the project for each activity, collecting all expenditures reflects budgets of the project, distribution the cost through the schedule of WBS called cost breakdown structure (CBS).rnThis research will develop a new concept is called knowledge breakdown structure (KBS), the methodology looks like methodologies of WBS, RBS, and CBS, but filling the segments will be bottom - up alone.rnIt is beneficial for knowledge management subject, knowledge breakdown structure will assist an organisation to reuse the knowledge which they got from previous projects, once the organisation reuses it, they will pass the previous mistake.
