摘要

Superiority of piezoelectric fiber reinforced composite (PFRC) to that of conventional piezoelectric materials as an actuator in mechatronic systems having smart/intelligent capabilities of vibration damping has been investigated through micromechanics study and finite element analysis of active constrained layer damping (ACLD) of laminated composite beam with a constraining layer of this PFRC and augmented with an appropriate control.
