An Interactive Evaluation Approach for the Creation of Collaborative Learning Commons

Inspired by a three-year Creative University 'arena' initiative at Lulea University of Technology in Sweden, we report preliminary results of an exploratory interactive evaluation project. Action research methodology informs investigation of the efficacy of a user-centered process for co-creation of technology-enabled collaborative physical and virtual 'learning commons'. Findings to date inform research-in-progress on socio-technical elements for construction of robust distributed collaborative learning environments.
