Syntactic Analysis of Middle Construction in Chinese Mandarin

Middle constructions' intriguing syntactic and semantic features have prompted many researchingarticles debating its formation mode. In the literature, there are two major competing approaches on the derivation of middle constructions, syntactic and lexical approaches respectively. Concerning the formation ofChinese Middles we insist that with the insertion of Modal Auxiliary Verb it achieves the final form.
