A world heritage bridge must be of outstanding universal value illustrating or interpreting the heritage of the world in terms of engineering,technology,transportation,communication,industry,history,or culture.Examples of world-heritage bridges include "obvious" spans like the Pont du Gard and Segovia Aqueduct;Pont Avignon,Ponte Vecchio,Roman Bridges in Cordoba,Salamanca,Merida,and Trier,Germany,Ironbridge,and the Pulteney Bridge in England.The list even includes the Old Bridge in the City of Mostar,Bosnia-Herzegovina,that was rebuilt through the help of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO,as a symbol of reconciliation,international cooperation and of the coexistence of diverse cultural,ethnic and religious communities.The reconstructed bridge was inscribed in 2005.
