A plasmapheresis bowl for separation and collection of plasma comprises a core and a feed tube to increase bowl efficiency and reduce bubble formation within the plasma. The core may have a cylindrical body and a rib positioned within the interior of the core. The rib extends radially inwardly from the core and at least partially forms a collection chamber within the plasmapheresis bowl. The core also has a rib extending above the upper portion of the core body and creating a flow path that allows fluid to enter the interior of the cylindrical body and the collection chamber. The feed tube has a flow path extending therethrough that fluidically connects an inlet port on a plasmapheresis centrifuge. A first skirt member on the feed tube has a smooth angular surface that helps reduce bubble formation.
