To provide a method of accurately and quickly assessing a low-temperature flow performance of light oil having a wax precipitation rate of 0.25 mass%/°C or less.SOLUTION: A method of assessing a low-temperature flow performance of light oil having a wax precipitation rate of 0.25 mass%/°C or less is provided, the method involving use of a plugging point tester after replacing a wire mesh sieve having a mesh opening of 45 μm in a wire mesh filter constituting the plugging point tester with a wire mesh sieve having a mesh opening of 106 μm in the test method specified in JIS K2288: 2011 (petroleum products-light oil-plugging point test method).SELECTED DRAWING: None
