To provide a manufacturing method of an intermediate transfer medium for sublimation transfer and a sublimation transfer recording method, capable of preventing an occurrence of a ghost even if an image recording is performed through repeatedly using a base material.SOLUTION: A sublimation transfer recording method includes: a step of applying a curable ink; a step of forming a porous layer; a step of applying an ink for sublimation transfer; and a step of forming an image on a recording medium. The porous layer is formed through irradiating the curable ink with an active energy ray in a state where a content of a solvent in the curable ink is 70 mass% or more.
