Provided are a sterilization control method for a train toilet air conditioner, and a train toilet air conditioner. An indoor unit of the train toilet air conditioner comprises: a shell (1); a fan; and a sterilization device, which is mounted on the shell (1) and is arranged close to an air outlet (11), wherein the sterilization device can spray a sterilizing agent in the form of a mist. The sterilization control method comprises: acquiring a cumulative number of people using a train toilet since a train toilet air conditioner last executed a sterilization operation; and selectively making the train toilet air conditioner execute the sterilization operation according to the cumulative number of people using the train toilet. The sterilizing agent in the form of a mist sprayed by the sterilization device can flow to each position of the train toilet, so as to sterilize the train toilet. The train toilet air conditioner can determine, according to the cumulative number of people using the train toilet since the sterilization operation was last executed, whether the train toilet needs to be sterilized, and can sterilize the train toilet in a timely manner, thereby ensuring the safety of the environment of the toilet.
