Issuance of short-term digital certificates based on verification of long-term digital certificates

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer implementation method, a system and a program for issuing a long-term certificate that can be used to request and obtain a short-term digital certificate for server authentication. A certification authority service receives a request from an entity to issue a long-term digital certificate for verification purposes between the entity and the service. Upon issuing a long-term digital certificate, the entity presents a request to the service to issue a short-term digital certificate with a shorter validity period than the long-term digital certificate. The certification authority service can use a long-term digital certificate to validate an entity, and once the entity is validated, it can issue a short-term digital certificate to the entity. The entity can then utilize a short-term digital certificate so that the user client can authenticate the entity and communicate securely with the entity. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
