PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of carrying out long-term verification surpassing the term of validity of a regular public key certificate by decreasing the dependence on a time stamp certificate authority in verification of a digital signature.;SOLUTION: A verification reception section 2 is a reception window for users. A repository 3 replies to a certificate lapse list stored therein in response to a search request from a digital signature long-term verification apparatus 1. The time stamp authentication authority 4 provides a time stamp adopting the relative time authentication system to digital data and returns the resulting data.
