A molecular probe-based safety early warning and fault positioning system for an electrochemical energy storage power station, said system comprising a molecular probe tag (2), a camera (3), and a host (4). Real-time safety early warning for a fault in an electrochemical energy storage device is implemented by using a change in color of a gas sensing area (2-1) of the molecular probe tag (2), and the positioning of an abnormal electrochemical energy storage device is implemented by using a position marking area (2-2) of the molecular probe tag (2) or the position of the camera (3) on a slide rail when the camera (3) is facing the molecular probe tag (2) so that maintenance personnel of the energy storage power station can obtain an early warning signal at a first time and targetedly adopt corresponding safety measures. Molecular probe technology has advantages such as being drive-free, high-sensitivity, low-cost, and anti-interference, and has important application value for the operating safety of a large-scale energy storage power station.
