A multi-time optical multiplication apparatus and method for a fiber-optic gyroscope light path, which belong to the technical field of optical fiber sensing. Two polarization beam splitters/combiners (4, 8) and polarization switches (5, 7) are used in a fiber-optic gyroscope, and are respectively positioned in a forward light path and a reverse light path at two ends of a polarization-maintaining fiber sensitive coil (6). The polarization beam splitter/combiner (4, 8) is used for coupling two beams of orthogonal polarized light into one optical fiber, or for splitting one beam of input light into two beams of orthogonal linearly polarized light and then outputting same; and the polarization switches (5, 7) can enable, by means of a control voltage, linearly polarized light that passes through the polarization switches to realize 90-degree polarization rotation or to remain unchanged. By means of the specific placement and coupling of the two polarization beam splitters/combiners (4, 8) and the modulation of the voltages of the polarization switches (5, 7), an incident light signal can be circularly transmitted along a polarization-maintaining fiber sensitive coil (6) of a fiber-optic gyroscope, thereby achieving the effect of multi-time optical multiplication, such that the solution is simple in structure and low in cost, and can effectively improve the measurement precision of the fiber-optic gyroscope on the premise of not increasing the length of an optical fiber.
