Disclosed in embodiments of the present description are a prompting method, apparatus and device in a code scanning process. The method comprises: acquiring a first image in a scanning area of a code scanning device; determining, in the scanning area, position information of a first partial image of a bearing layer, which is used for bearing a code image, contained in the first image; generating, on the basis of the position information, first prompt information for indicating a first direction, the first direction being used for representing the direction pointing to the position of the first partial image in the scanning area from the central position of the scanning area.
