Medical device (10) designed to hold general medical, surgical or diagnostic facilities or instruments, in particular diagnostic devices or instruments for the oral/cervical cavity of the following group: column (1), etching device (2), light source (3), camera (4); where the holding device (10) has:a contact area (15) for manual contact of the holding device (10) by a user;at least one coupling connected to the contact area (15) for reversible coupling (11, 12, 13), in particular a coupling of shape and/or force-like coupling, the device or instrument concerned; characterized by the contact area (15) having a minimum length (x15) of 20cm, with at least one coupling (11, 12) at the long end of the contact area (15), and the contact area (15) consisting at least partly of copper or copper as surface material/material, where the medical device (10) is fitted to couple one/the camera in the contact area,especially when using a camera with a housing with integrated coupling function.
