Manually driven intraosseous devices and associated methods are disclosed. The intraosseous device (10) includes a housing (100) and a transmission at least partially disposed within the housing (100). The transmission includes a first portion (210) and a second portion (226). The second portion (226) includes a manual actuator that is at least partially disposed outside of the housing (100). The intraosseous device (10) also includes a penetrator assembly (300) releasably connected to the first portion (210) of the transmission. The transmission is configured to transmit a force, which is applied manually to the manual actuator, to the penetrator assembly (300) to rotate the penetrator assembly (300) relative to the housing (100) and to drive the penetrator assembly (300) through a bone into an intraosseous space. The manual actuator is a hand crank that is configured to be manually cranked by an operator to transfer rotational force to the first portion (210) of the transmission.
