A method for correcting the inefficiency of ion sources enabling normalization between samples

In mass spectrometry, significant errors are taken during sample preparation (inter sample error), ion formation (ion suppression) and ion permeation (ion transmission loss).The present inventors demonstrate that it can be corrected with respect to ion suppression and ion transmission loss, and that it can be normalized between samples of the analytical sample to the internal standard if corrected with respect to the ion loss.Normalizing for the standard samples allows the analysis sample to be comparable to any of the samples treated in the same way.Diagram
