To provide a system, an apparatus and a method for aiding in waste classification, and a program capable of improving the convenience of waste classification.SOLUTION: An apparatus for aiding in waste classification comprises an input section that collects sound, a control section that creates a waste classification determination request including information representative of the collected sound, a communicating section that sends the waste classification determination request to a server and receives a waste classification response to the sent waste classification determination request, and an output section that acquires a message included in the waste classification response and outputs an acquired message. The server comprises an identification section that recognizes an attribute of waste included in the sound on the basis of information representative of the sound included in the waste classification determination request, an acquisition section that acquires a message explaining a waste classification way on the basis of information indicative of the recognized waste attribute and identification information of the apparatus for aiding in waste classification, a sound synthesizing section that creates a waste classification response including the acquired message, and a communication section that sends the waste classification response to the apparatus for aiding in waste classification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
