The child's dummy (10) comprises: - a nipple (30), - a collar (31), - at least one sensor (76, 78, 79) for sensing muscular activity in the child, - a vibrator (95) and - a means (91) for controlling the vibrator, which means is configured to cause the vibrator to vibrate when no muscular activity in the child has been detected for a period of time greater than a predetermined value. In embodiments, at least one sensor for sensing the muscular activity of the child comprises a lingual muscle activity sensor (76) and/or a labial muscle activity sensor (78) and/or a dummy movement sensor (79).
