The present specification discloses a composition comprising Lactobacillus sakei MD_honey suckle (Accession No.: KCTC12675BP) or a culture product thereof as an active ingredient, and novel uses thereof. The composition comprising the strain or its culture product as an active ingredient has excellent DPPH radical scavenging ability, antibacterial activity against pathogenic microorganisms, high content of total polyphenols, and ability to inhibit melanocyte growth.
