The present invention discloses compositions comprising Lactobacillus sakei MD_honey suckle (Deposition Number: KCTC12675BP) or its cultured products as active ingredients, and novel uses thereof. Compositions comprising the strain or its cultured products as active ingredients according to the present invention are excellent in DPPH radical scavenging activities, have antibacterial activities with respect to pathogenic microorganisms, have high total polyphenol contents, and have abilities of inhibiting the growth of melanin cells. Compositions comprising the strain or its cultured products as active ingredients according to the present invention have an antiaging effect, a skin wrinkle improvement effect, a skin whitening effect, and an antimicrobial effect, and are capable of being widely utilized in a cosmetic composition, a pharmaceutical composition, or a health food which require such effects.
