Isotretinoin preparation and its use and method

Provided herein is an enhanced targeted transdermal delivery system for isotretinoin drugs that does not use ethanol or uses less ethanol compared to existing isotretinoin gel products and has improved thermodynamic activity. Novel isotretinoin formulations and methods for treating ichthyosis and other skin conditions using the same are provided.
