Pumps with radial cylinders ; valves and valve gear.-Relates to pumps in which the suction and delivery of a number of cylinders, such as the radial cylinders a, are controlled by a slide valve. The circular slide valve h is operated by a pin b1 eccentrically placed on the driving-shaft, and is pivoted on this pin so that it can turn into fresh positions, thereby equalizing the wear of the valve and port faces. The valve comprises two parts h, h1 telescopically packed together and pressed against their respective port faces by springs l. The valve-casing is open to the suction r, and a passage k conveys the fluid discharged from the passages f to the centre of the ring h1, which is in communication with the delivery p.
