8692. Wagner, C., and Stange, F. April 16. Lithographic and like printing.-Relates to apparatus for damping plates in collotype printing- machines. The cylinder c, covered with flannel or felt, is damped and the moisture conveyed from it by the roller b to the roller a which damps the printing-surface. The rollers a, b are covered with soft gelatine or the like. The bearings of the roller a are supported by the lever r, by means of which the roller a is lifted when the damping has been effected. The apparatus is situated between the impression cylinder d and the inking- rollers e.
