Tyres, pneumatic. -A valve for use in inflating pneumatic tyres has a conical end A fitted with a copper or other washer D, and is held tightly on the conical seat by means of a nut E on the outside of the stem B. The stem is hollow, and the air passage consists of a slot C extending partly or wholly along its length. To inflate, the ordinary cap F is removed and the nut E slackened to allow the to-and-fro motion of the valve.
