Improvements relating to Door Bells.

28,560. Le Fevre, N. B. Dec. 28. Alarms, burglar and like.-Door bells are mounted on the inside of the door in such a way that they are rung whenever the handle of the door is turned. In the form shown, the spindle E of the handle is provided with a lever F, flanged at f so as to depress the knob B of a spring bell A, whenever the handle is turned in either direction. In order that the bell may continue to ring, a spring bolt G is pressed out when the spindle is turned, so as to prevent the lever F from returning to its normal position. The bolt G has a handle H sliding in a slot j, j1, so that the bolt G may be thrown out of action by putting the handle H in the part j of the slot. The bell is fixed to the door by screws L, L', passing through curved and straight slots S, S' respectively, so that the bell may be moved away from the lever F when desired.
